Frequently asked questions

I’d love some photos but I’m worried my pet won’t sit still, is too nervous, too boisterous…

Don’t worry – I understand that pet’s aren’t people and that’s why I don’t expect them to sit patiently during my shoots. In fact some of my best photos are captured when pets are just being themselves. We’ll chat about this and any other questions you may have during our informal planning session – this way, we get plenty of time to decide how we’ll manage things during your session.

I don’t feel confident letting my dog off their lead in the session – does it matter?

Not at all. Safety and security are really important, so if it’s best that your dog stays on their lead, that’s absolutely not a problem. There are lots of ways we can hide or disguise their lead during your session so we can still capture a full and varied range of creative images. Any traces of lead still visible in the final pictures can then always be removed when I edit your photos.

What if the weather takes a turn for the worst on the day of our session?

I keep a close eye on the weather and will be in touch with you the day before your session to either confirm things look good or reschedule if the weather looks poor. Should the really unexpected happen and the weather takes a turn for the worst during the shoot, we’ll choose whether to break and see if things brighten, or re-schedule and finish off another day.

Can I be in some of the photos with my pet?

Of course – in fact I’d positively encourage even the most camera shy to consider having at least one or two photos with their pet. I’m guessing it’s not every day you have a photo shoot with your pet so why not make the most of it? After all it’s you who gets to choose exactly which photos to keep so if you don’t like them, you don’t have to choose them.

How do I pay for my session?

If you decide to book a shoot, I’ll invoice you in advance for the session fee. My invoices can be paid online using all major debit/credit cards, PayPal accounts or by Bank Transfer.
