I was lucky enough to share an afternoon at Picton Castle recently with ‘Guido’ a BSD Tervuren, exploring the gardens and capturing photo’s of him looking perfectly at home in these elegant and colourful grounds…
Anyway back to our session!
We’d had it planned a few weeks in advance and the forecast leading up to it had been great but you guessed it… on the morning of our shoot the forecast suddenly changed to heavy showers right about the time we were due to meet up. TYPICAL! As always in cases like this, I jumped on the phone to Guido’s mum and after a bit of deliberation we decided to take our chances anyway. Besides, if the weather got too bad we’d simply abandon and try again another day.
The good news is that the weather was pretty kind to us after all. It stayed fine for most of the afternoon with just a few short drizzly interludes which were never enough to dampen our spirits or Guido’s beautiful coat!
Dogs are welcome within the gardens at Picton Castle but although not obvious from our images, they must be kept on a lead at all times.
